The Fire Marshal's office handles several duties
concerned with fire prevention and the administration of the Fire Prevention Act, such as:
- Fire investigations and fire loss reporting
- Fire safety inspections
- Fire service training
- Public education in fire prevention
- Reviewing building plans to ensure compliance with
fire prevention standards - Enforcement of the Fire Prevention Act
