Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM)

The Fire Marshal's office handles several duties concerned with fire prevention and the administration of the Fire Prevention Act, such as:

  • Fire investigations and fire loss reporting
  • Fire safety inspections
  • Fire service training
  • Public education in fire prevention
  • Reviewing building plans to ensure compliance with fire prevention standards - Enforcement of the Fire Prevention Act
